Fully Restored 1966 Shelby GT350 in Rare Black. Only 1 of 10 Black 4sp were built by Shelby. This car has an interesting history. S61750 was never sold as a new car. It was leased by Shelby American to Bardahl Oil Additives as a test car. At lease end it was returned to Shelby and then released to Ronnie Bucknum, the famous race car driver via Dan Gurney's 'All American Racers' Company. When returned to Shelby American, it then became a company car to Jack Khoury, Production Manager for Shelby American. Sean met him in April 2012 at Pomona, where he inspected the car and confirmed that 1750 was his personal car. Sean got a neat pic of him with it, too. Then when Shelby American closed up in Los Angeles, it was sold as a used car and ended up in the bay area, where it remained until 2010. The car was bought by Tom Sutton, who Sean met in 2012 and showed the car to. He owned it till about '81. Another Owner in Santa Cruz bought the car and had it a short time, before Joe Jangarica bought it. Joe had the car from approx '83 to 2005. Sean showed 1750 to Joe in the summer. He near cried, as it was a very reluctant sale for him. Chris Beck then bought the car in 2005, which was basically in parts and had been for many years and started a resto and never got anywhere with it. It was a very reluctant sale for Chris, too. He saw 1750 not long ago as well and drove it - something he always wanted to do, so it was neat for Sean to be able to share that with him. Sean bought the car in 2010 and restored it. It attended SAAC36 and then the Shelby 50th at Pomona since then. George Follmer drove it from/to the show. Only rust in the car during resto was a very minor patch under the heater on the front passenger side floor. That was cut and removed. The body is exceptional on this car and the paint is amazing. Sean said it is the best black paint he had ever seen. Everything he did during the resto was to stock spec's. It really is a brand new car and drives like one. It has only a few hundred miles since restoration.
